MANAGING DIRECTOR, SOUTH EAST ASIA AT AIRBNB
Chai hold an MBA from INSEAD and a Bachelor of Computer Engineering from the National University of Singapore. Post-graduation, he started out as a junior partner at McKinsey & Company, advising top telecoms and technology companies in Asia. He helped companies with corporate strategy, marketing and operations.
He went on to become the first hire for Airbnb SEA, where he helped grow the Airbnb business in Asia. Initially as general manager for SEA region, he later covered India and went ahead to host operations across APAC. Chai now helps tech companies grow in new markets and is currently responsible for growing Carousell internationally.
