Ershad, Grab’s Head of Singapore Marketing is responsible for all acquisition, retention and branding efforts in the country, and has spearheaded Grab’s recent product launches like GrabShare & JustGrab.
Before joining Grab, he was leading Rakuten’s global marketing initiatives across Ecommerce, Viber & Viki. Prior to Rakuten, Ershad was responsible for marketing Gillette in India and South East Asia.
Grab was founded by Harvard Business School graduates Anthony Tan and Hooi Ling Tan in 2012 and began as a Southeast Asian taxi-hailing app. The company is now leading in taxi-hailing in the region and has extended the product platform to include car services, motorcycle taxis, social carpooling and last mile delivery.
Today, Grab offers services in Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam and have over 36 million passengers and 710,000 drivers.
