John Traas is the Regional Director of South Asia Pacific for Booking.com, leading hotel partner relations across the region. As a keen traveler, John wanted to take his career to an international level and the travel industry was one of the best ways to achieve that.
Before his current role, he was Global Head of Pricing in Booking.com’s HQ in Amsterdam and he started in 2012 as the Regional Manager for the UK, based in London. John holds an MBA from IMD Lausanne and attended the General Management program at Harvard University.

Booking.com is an online accommodation booking website that started as a small start-up in Enschede in 1996, based in Amsterdam and Netherlands. Since 2005, it has been owned and operated by the United States-based Priceline. Its operations center is now located in Amsterdam. The platform is available in more than 41 languages and has over 989,000 properties globally under contract, receiving more than 900,000 room nights reservations each day. In 2013, it accounted for more than two-thirds of Priceline’s revenue.
